The Imperial trellis is a very light fabric, which they did note on the website (not suitable for upholstery) but with lining it may be fine for curtains for the Spare Bedroom.
I don't know. I'm not totally loving it, but then again, I don't really have an overall scheme in mind, so it's still up in the air. It may be too busy? It's hard to tell when it's a swatch...even though the swatches from the company are a really generous size.
On another note, Aubrey built me the top shelf for the closet!
I need to paint it, but I immediately put up the baskets to see how it looked. :)

THanks for the site. I love the trellis, and when you get it up and it falls in soft folds, it won't be so busy.
I'm crazy about the imperial trellis pattern. And I'm all for having interesting drapes that add punch to a neutral room.

Ughh. I know, I'm a trellis whore myself. But my gut is steering me away from it, which is so upsetting as I was totally positive that I would love it in the room. It's actually not going to be a roman, but pull curtains on either side of the window. I'm keeping the other blinds as well, as I really hate the window behind it, so I need to keep it hidden.
i like it... but what else are you planning on putting in the room? like what other colors and patterns? it's probably hard right now because everything in there is white white white so it would super stand out.
I like trellis too, but I can kind of see what you mean about it not working in the room. The pattern is a bit 'tight' when the room feels more fun and casual, KWIM? I'm sure you'll find something that works though!
Katie - Thats the problem, I'm not totally sure about the patterns, but I don't want to shoot myself in the foot and spend mega $ on curtains, when it will compete with the chosen fabrics for elsewhere.
Wanderluster - that's exactly what I was thinking too. My neighbour Erin pointed out that the issue may be that if it were reversed (more white vs. brown)on the fabric it likely would work.
The nice thing is, is that the curtains aren't really necessary right away, because we have venitians. I just like to have game plans, and I was pretty sure I had finalized that fabric, and was surprised at home much it didn't work for me, once I had it in the room. I think it will come together maybe after I've gotten some furniture in, and can play off of pillow patterns. ;)
