Name that fabric

Remember I went gaga for that floral fabric? I'm gotten a few e-mails about it, asking the manufacturer name, so I though if some were e-mailing me, others may be interested as well....Unfortunately I don't know the manufacturer, but I DO know the fabric name. :)

The fabrics name is Wonderland Pearl. And I bought a yard, and I'm trying to decide still what to do with it. I bought it here in Toronto, but after some googling I found it on other online sites as well for those outside of Canada.

This is the full pattern as shown on Designer Fabrics website. I *never* would have picked up the fabric based on that Internet picture. Something seems off. But in person, as I have proclaimed before, the fabric is glorious.

It is also available at HouseFabric.com, where the cropped image makes it a bit more appealing. :)

A week ago I came across some inspiring pictures on SouthernLiving.com and one in particular stood out....

Look at those two chairs. The fabric looks soooo similar don't you think? It's not the same fabric (I'm 99% sure of that because the print on the chairs looks larger than the print on my fabric). But the similarity is astounding!

Hey, Love that fabric! Here's the inside scoop on fabric names: you can often find the exact same fabric with different names and prices at different places. Mills weave the cloth and offer it for sale to wholesalers. Then retailers and showrooms can decide to give it a different name and price. Also, sometimes you find the same pattern printed onto different background cloths. Mills buy the rights to a print a pattern. If they don't buy the rights out entirely (VERY expensive) then others will also buy the rights and the pattern can appear from multiple mills. Right now, you can find that pattern above from P Kaufmann fabrics called Sea Breeze in Patriot or from Robert Allen designers showrooms as Spring Estate in Prussian. The print is in Toronto at Designer Fabrics (as you say) and InVu. I think the one at InVu is the same version as Robert Allen. I LOVE that print and have it in my own house in another colourway -- soft greens and yellows -- Spring Estate in Green Tea.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter
and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She placed the
shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!

First of all I would like to say great blog!

I had a quick question which I'd like to ask if you don't mind.

I was curious to know how you center yourself and
clear your mind before writing. I have had difficulty clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there.
I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually wasted simply
just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints?
Many thanks!
