Artist Profile & Giveaway, Sharon Montrose

As you know, I'm have a soft spot for artists of all kinds and I've profiled a few of my favourite artists over the year on our blog. This spotlight is especially sweet as I will be buying some of the artists work to hang in the nursery, the issue is deciding which ones to buy!

I'm sure you've head of Sharon Montrose's work, but even if her name doesnt ring a bell, you will possibly recognize her absolutely adorable photographs of animals.

sharonmontrose

For other creatives out there, you willl enjoy this video of Sharon explaining how she got into photographing animals, as well as a segment on her actually shooting them in her studio. I personally find it interesting as it chronicles how she found her artistic path. BUT it's at 3:12 when my heart skipped a beat. You get to meet "Stanley".

But here is the special thing with this little post. Sharon is giving away one of her prints to you. (Lucky ducks). We've never done a giveaway on our blog but since this is something that we will definitely have in OUR nursery, it seemed like a nice giveaway! :) So one of you will get to pick one of her awesome prints from her shop and have it hang in your own house. I know you're likely thinking I would pick the Giraffe print but I actually have a soft spot for that little Porcupine Baby print! Too cute.

How to enter? Visit Sharon's etsy shop (here), browse around and get caught up in the cuteness. Then come back to here and let me know which print is favourite, and let me know how to contact you. That's it! Sharon will ship to Canadian and US readers. (Value of print is $25 US) Ends June 1st.

This might be my favorite giveaway! I absolutely love Sharon Montrose's work + I think using her prints in a nursery is a perfect idea.

I really love the macaw print (I'm a sucker for anything blue), but I think the baby crowned crane would look very sweet in a nursery.

Oh Gosh, I love your blog but I love Sharon's pictures even more. I've already told my husband that we are getting a collection for our baby's nursery, and we aren't even trying yet. I don't know which one I'd get, the baby kitty, sheep, piglet and deer kill me, as does the otter. If I'd win, I'd jump up and down!

Miriam said...

I love the little piglet! So cute!

I really like Sharon Montrose's work. My sister is due in October and it would be such a cute print for the nursery.
